What is ITS?

Information Technology Services (ITS) is one department in the Office of Financial Affairs division and, though all departments claim this, an essential component of campus life.  The department consists of 9 full-time staff members, each with varying specialties, to support the College's needs.  Together, the team works to provide the strategic direction and daily support for a wide variety of technology-based systems, including:
  • Over 750 College-owned PCs and associated software packages (including Windows Vista, Office 2007, Contribute, Acrobat and many others)
  • 2 major computer labs, several academic department labs and labs in each resident hall for a total of over 200 student-accessible PCs
  • A campus-wide network that connects all buildings
  • High-speed Internet connection with a connection to the statewide I-Light network coming
  • Access to e-mail from anywhere by using Microsoft Outlook or Web-based client
  • Network storage and Web space for each student, faculty and staff member
  • "ResNet" Internet connectivity for all resident hall occupants
  • Academic and administrative systems like ANGEL, Colleague & Raiser's Edge
  • Campus-wide phone service including a port per residence hall room and access to inexpensive long-distance plans
