What is ITS?
Information Technology Services (ITS) is one team in the Office of Financial Affairs division and an essential component of campus life. The department consists of 12 full-time staff members, each with varying specialties, to support the University's needs. The ITS team also employs a number of student workers filling a variety of roles. Together, the team works to provide the strategic direction and daily support for a wide variety of technology-based systems, including:
- Over 750 University-owned PCs and associated software packages (including Windows 7, Office 2010, and many others)
- 2 major computer labs, several academic department labs and labs in each resident hall for a total of over 200 student-accessible PCs
- A campus-wide network that connects all buildings
- A 250 MB Internet connection to the statewide I-Light network
- Access to e-mail from anywhere by using Microsoft Outlook or Web-based client
- Network storage for each student, faculty and staff member
- "ResNet" Internet connectivity for all resident hall occupants
- Academic and administrative systems like ANGEL, Colleague & Raiser's Edge
- Campus-wide phone service including a port per residence hall room
- Our very own 100+ channel cable TV system, including 6 flavors of HBO
