To dial an on-campus number:
- Simply dial the last 4 digits of the number.
- For example, the phone number for the ITS Help Desk is 982-5454. In this case, simply dial 5454.
To dial a local number:
- Press 6 for an outside line.
- Press the seven digit number.
- The telephone system will automatically direct your call through the college’s local provider along with verification that the call is a local number.
To dial a toll free number:
- Press 6 for an outside line.
- Press the toll free number. (Example 1-800-555-5555 or 1-866-555-1212)
- The telephone system will automatically direct your call through the college’s local provider along with verification that the call is a toll free number.
To dial a long distance number (employees making work-related calls):
- Press 6 for an outside line.
- Press 1 + area code + the seven digit number.
- The telephone system will automatically direct your call through the college’s long distance provider along with verification that the call is not a local number.
To dial a long distance number (students and employees making personal calls):
- Request a calling card or prepaid card from your preferred long distance provider.
- Follow the instructions on the card.
- Prepaid cards can be purchased at the Campus Store.
Restricted Access:
- No college telephone allows access to 900 numbers, receiving collect calls, or any other bill back type of services.
